Thanks for the help.It really worked,though I was called rude[almost]for posting the response under the comment.I know now that I have advertised my ignorance.But,inspite of that someone who had visited you visited my site.It is really nice the way we can circle the world sitting at our home.
In Carnatic Music,there are 4 beats/cycles[is that the same as 4/4 time]There are other beat patterns ,too.

Hi Sita – thanks for the good wishes.

Yes that is Irish music – in this case Irish ‘reels’- dance tunes that are in 4/4 time (four beats to the bar). When played in sessions, they are often played faster than most people would dance .It becomes something of a test of skill. (my playing was once described as an’x-treme celtic workout!).

As for responding to comments – I am notified automatically be email when someone has posted a comment – that way I can control ’spam’ and you would have noticed that an email address is a ‘required’ field when you post a comment – so I can also respond privately in addition to any comment I post here.

Thanks for stopping by, first off. I really appreciate your words of encouragement about picking my viola back up.

I don’t watch 3 hours of TV per day LOL. I don’t really even watch one. You are both right. I would be surprised at how much I regain. I guess I am just afraid to do it.

I don’t miss an E string, Jerry. I rarely played the violin as a kid. I have a viola. I hate the whine of the A string. It is like fingers on a chalkboard to me. I think I am going to add you to my blogroll.
