I came across an article on how Gibson makes their custom guitars – it’s amazing that so much is still hand done by professional luthiers and where machines are used, still using machines that were converted from their original steam power!

Interestingly the wood shop is kept to 45 percent humidity by roof-mounted misters to keep the wood at the right humidity.

Every aspect of this operation reinforces the quality of the Gibson instruments.

Cheers
Jerry
